Constipation is one of the most common problem these days. This problem is faced by about 70 % of the worlds population. This is happening mostloy due to poor life style and less of physical activities. Dietary habits has also worsened with time.

Below are certain home remedies that may be helpful in curing this constipation problem.

  1. Milk is the most beneficial remedy for constipation. It should be consumed in its purest form if possible, sweetened with a little sugar. Having a glass of milk each night before going to bed can have amazing benefits. You could try to improve the qualities of the milk by adding a few drops of castor oil to it.
  2. Take a glassful of milk and put four to five dates in it, with their seeds removed. Warm it slightly and then bring it down to room temperature. The dates enhance the power of milk in curing constipation.
  3. One more remedy for constipation that uses milk is with grapes. Take about a dozen of grapes and dip it in a glassful of milk. Let the milk stand for a while and then warm it. When it is warmed adequately (not boiled, it must still be at a drinkable temperature), take the milk off the flame. Remove the grapes. You must drink the milk and eat the grapes. Both of these are good remedies for relieving constipation.
  4. If you are not gluten intolerant, you could make use of the great health benefits that wheat has to provide. Make a chapatti of wheat and have your meals with it. Three to four chapattis should have the best effect. You could mix some roasted black gram powder (typically, the black gram powder must be half the amount of the wheat) while making the dough.
  5. The traditional cabbage soup therapy also works wonders. You could prepare a soup of cabbage and add some cabbage leaves in it to and have it two to three times in a day. This gives guaranteed results for constipated persons.

  9. Take some figs and dip them in water. Keep them in the water overnight. In the morning, remove the figs from the water and eat them, before eating anything else. If you have long-standing constipation problems, this fig remedy is considered to be one of the most effective in treating the problem.
  10. One traditional Indian method for curing constipation is to keep water in a copper vessel overnight and to have it in the morning on an empty stomach. This is considered to be a very effective remedy of constipation, providing fast results.
  11. Prepare a salty lime juice solution. Extract the juice of a whole lemon in warm water and add some salt to it. Stir the mixture. Consume the juice when it is still hot. You will see that your constipation problems will have gone.
  12. You could try having a whole guava fruit every morning before you have eaten anything else. This will help in eliminating your bowels more effectively
