Home Remedies For Eczema

Eczema is also known as dermatitis. Eczema is nothing but the itching and inflammation of the skin. It generally occurs on knees, elbows, arms and face also. There are people who have eczema on other body parts too. The real cause for this condition is still unknown. You can get some relief from the itching and redness that comes with eczema by trying home remedies for eczema .

Home remedies for Eczema:

  • Have sunbath often, as it kills the bacteria that are responsible for causing eczema.
  • Apply the coconut oil on the affected parts of the body. As it is applying coconut oil on the skin will make the skin soft.
  • Apply the paste of one-teaspoon sandalwood and one teaspoon camphor on the parts of the body with eczema.
  • Applying mudpack over the affected region of the body is also one of the very effective home remedies for eczema .
  • If you have got eczema then try to avoid chemicals and perfumed soaps on your skin, as this will aggravate the effect of the eczema.
  • Applying cold water over the affected body parts will give relief form itching.
  • Apply spearmint leaf juice over the parts with eczema for a speedy recovery.
  • Make a fine paste with nutmeg by adding water and apply it over the infected region of the body.
  • Make a paste with almond leaves with water and apply it.
  • Add a tablespoon of turmeric powder and one tablespoon of neem leaves; make a fine paste of these two. Apply this paste over the infected part of the body.
  • Take an iron vessel and add 200 grams of mustard oil and let it boil for some time. In this solution add 50 grams of fresh neem leaves. Stop heating when the leaves turn black. Filter this solution after cooling it down and apply this oil over the affected body parts three to four times in a day. If you will do this remedy for about a year without fail, eczema will never ever happen to you.
  • Mash the papaya seeds; apply it over the infected skin, this will prevent you from the itching caused by eczema.
  • Eating carrots and muskmelon will also help you in reducing the itching of eczema.
  • Dab some witch hazel on the skin affected with eczema. This is very good remedy for getting cure form inflammation.
  • In 125 grams of water add 4 grams of wormwood and 4 grams of kutki and keep this overnight. Next day morning filter this solution and drink the water. No need to throw the residue as you can again add 125 grams of water to the residue and use it for four days. On the fifth day add fresh wormwood and fresh kutki in fresh water and repeat the same procedure.
  • Make soap for bathing at home. For making the soap: grate vegetable oil soap or olive oil soap in a vessel and add 25 grams of chopped herbs. Add few drops of essential oil into this along with one tablespoon of oatmeal. Heat them all together till the time everything melts and mixes well. Put this hot mixture in any mould and allow it to become hard.
