Home Remedies For High Blood Pressure

High blood pressure, which is also known as hypertension is a silent killer disease. Due to stress and tensions of daily life many people are getting high blood pressure. The blood pressure is caused due to various reasons like stress, obesity and high sodium intake and hormones changes in women. Due to high blood pressure the capillaries that carry blood gets pressed and becomes narrow. This puts extra pressure on heart and this leads to various complications in body.

There are three main levels of hypertension -

  • Mild Hypertension - Diastolic blood pressure is 90 mmHg while Systolic pressure is 105 mmHg.
  • Moderate Hypertension - Diastolic blood pressure is above 95 mmHg while Systolic pressure is above 160 mmHg.
  • Severe Hypertension - Diastolic blood pressure is above 110 mmHg while Systolic pressure is above 200 mmHg.

Home remedies for High Blood Pressure:

  • Watermelons are very effective in preventing high blood pressure.
  • Drink one glass of water by adding lemon juice of half lemon into it. Drinking this every two-hour will give you relief from hypertension.
  • Mix about one tablespoon of amla (Indian Gooseberry) juice and honey together. Taking this mixture every day early morning will be very effective over hypertension. This is one of the very effective home remedies for high blood pressure .
  • Take watermelon seeds and khas khas in equal amounts and grind them together. Eating one teaspoon of this mixture with water, every day early morning with an empty stomach. Take this once again in the evening time. This is also very effective remedy in order to lowering the blood pressure. Try this remedy for about two weeks and see the difference in your blood pressure level.
  • Early in the morning and also in the evening, on an empty stomach take one teaspoon of fenugreek seeds. This is one of the very useful home remedies for high blood pressure . Continue using this remedy for about half of a month for seeing results.
  • Garlic is also very effective in controlling the blood pressure. Hence make sure that you use enough of garlic while preparing your food.
  • Take about one cup of lukewarm water and add one teaspoon of cayenne pepper into it. Drink this solution whenever you need it. This solution is very good for maintaining the blood pressure levels.
  • Eating fresh papaya on an empty stomach is also effective in controlling the rising blood pressure levels.
  • Eating four leaves of neem and four leaves of tulsi with water is also beneficial to reduce the high blood pressure.
  • Taking amla and milk is also very useful to lower the blood pressure.
  • Eating curd is also very effective in lowering the blood pressure.
  • To improve the blood circulation in the body, walk barefoot over the green grass for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Yoga is also very effective way of controlling the blood pressure levels. You can also join some Yoga classes that will keep you fit and fine.
  • Eating baked potatoes is also helpful in reducing the blood pressure.
