Whenever anyone gets tingling or prickling then you scratch the place where it arises and think that the problem is solved. There is no one in this world that has not got itching. Sometimes this itching gets cured in one scratch and sometimes it really becomes annoying, as it doesn't disappear. Too much of itching makes your skin red, swollen and painful. You should try and find the reason if you get itching quite often.

Home remedies for Itching

  1. If you are having itching on any other body part and not on private parts then you can apply Vicks vapor rub over the area. This will give instant relief from itching.
  2. Have peppermint bath to get cure form itching.
  3. Take two cups of oatmeal in a tub filled with Luke warm water. This will surely make the itching disappear.
  4. Add one-fourth part apple cider vinegar to half part of water and wash the itching skin with it. This is one of the very effective home remedies for itching .
  5. Apply aloe Vera gel over the area that is itching for getting instant relief form the itching.
  6. After bath apply some moisturizer cream over the skin, as this will not make the skin dry.
  7. Make a paste by mixing cinnamon powder and honey in equal amounts and apply this paste over the affected body parts.
  8. Add white vinegar about a cup to bathing water and soak your body in this water for about ten minutes.
  9. Nettle tea is also very effective in reducing the itching. Boil one cup of water by adding one teaspoon of nettle leaves. Drinking at least two cups of this water will surely help in getting relief form itching.
  10. Applying the Nettle oil over the affected body part is considered as one of the best home remedies for itching .
  11. It is not good to rub the itching area, as this will worsen the irritation of the skin. And make sure that you don't scratch the itching part if you have long nails. Make sure that you keep the itching area clean.
  12. If you are getting itching after eating anything or drinking anything, then make note of it. You might be allergic to some food or drink. Avoid such food items from your diet.
  13. Include vitamin C and vitamin E food groups in your diet.
  14. Avoid wearing tight clothes during nighttime. Wear soft and cotton clothes, as they will soak the sweat and help in keeping the body clean.
  15. Apply the paste of coconut oil and limejuice over the affected body part.
  16. Apply vitamin E oil over the itching body part.
  17. Take control of your salt intake. Avoid eating salty and fried stuff.
  18. Apply hot water to the body part that is itching.
  19. Make a paste with baking soda and water and apply over the itching body part.
  20. Apply neem oil to the itching body part. You can also take neem bath by boiling some neem leaves in water.
