Home Remedies For Skin Allergies

Skin allergies are caused due to excess use of cosmetic products. Some people have very sensitive skin and their skin can get very red and get itching due to some or the other skin allergy. Prickly heat, Urticaria and Dermatitis are some of the types of skin allergies. The skin allergies can happen due to various reasons like cosmetic products, soaps, dust, smoke, pollen, change in climate, food allergies and due to certain drugs.

Home remedies for Skin Allergies:

  • Avoid smoking, as it can increase the skin allergy. If you will avoid smoking, then there are several other health benefits too.
  • Take sandalwood paste and add few lime juice drops. Apply this paste over the skin that has got affected with skin allergies. Keep it for about 15 to 20 minutes and then wash it off.
  • Include food items that are rich source of vitamin C, as this vitamin is very good for skin.
  • Avoid eating processed food, fried food and salty food. All this food items are responsible for various types of skin allergies.
  • If you are allergic to dust, then try to keep your surrounding clean. Stay away from going to dusty places. In case you have to go out then tie one cloth so as to cover your mouth and nose.
  • Grind one tablespoon of poppy seeds and add one teaspoon of water and one teaspoon of limejuice. Apply this mixture over the affected skin. This is one of the very effective home remedies for skin allergies .
  • Before eating vegetables and fruits, wash them with water.
  • Avoid eating outside food. In case you want to eat outside food, then make sure that you go to a good place.
  • Take your meals in smaller portions. It is better to have 4 to 5 meals a day than having two big meals. This will also be helpful in controlling your weight.
  • Exercising is also one of the very useful home remedies for skin allergies . Go for walks and running early in the morning. This will help you breath fresh air and thus make your skin get some toxin free fresh air. Thus help in giving you glowing skin.
  • Twice in a month go on a liquid diet. Have only fruit juices. This will help to clear all the toxins form the body system.
  • Don't consume coffee beyond one or two cups a day. Avoid drinking alcohol too.
  • To get instant relief from itching and redness of the skin rub ice cube over the affected area.
  • Take one bowl of oats and add hot boiling water to it. Strain this solution and put it in ice tray. Allow it to cool and keep in refrigerator. This cubes are very effective to remove the itching and redness of the skin.
  • Applying aloe Vera gel over the infected skin will also help in getting relief from skin allergies.
  • To treat prickly heat, apply the mixture of juice of Jambula (Indian Plum) and soda over the affected skin part.
  • In summer drink at least two to three glasses of lemon juice.
